Sundial Restoration Project
This project involved the careful restoration of a historic stone sundial, where the original centrepiece had deteriorated beyond repair. Rather than attempt a temporary fix, we crafted a new central section in natural stone, precisely shaped to match the original design and proportions.
Working with traditional masonry techniques, the replacement element was hand-finished to ensure it blended seamlessly with the existing structure while maintaining the integrity of the original feature.
Stone restoration requires both technical skill and an understanding of historic detailing. At Roluna Stone, we specialise in bespoke stone craftsmanship, from architectural features to restoration work across Berwick, Northumberland and the Scottish Borders.
If you have a heritage stone feature, architectural detail or memorial requiring careful repair or replacement, we are happy to advise.
